Icca Gitarolla, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the Management Study Program at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), won the second place for the 2024 East Java Genre Ambassador. This achievement was achieved through the GenRe Ambassador Appreciation and East Java GenRe Creativity Jamboree 2024 (ADUJAK).

ADUJAK is not only an election event for the East Java GenRe Ambassador, but also involves the GenRe Creativity Jamboree which is attended by GenRe forums from various districts and cities throughout East Java. The event was organized by BKKBN East Java and the East Java GenRe Forum.

The GenRe (Generasi Berencana) Ambassador aims to improve the socialization and implementation of the Bangga Kencana Program through the Youth Resilience program. This program focuses on developing adolescents to have positive knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors in mental, health, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social aspects.

“I feel very grateful. With this, I hope to inspire, motivate, and run the Bangga Kencana program more widely, especially in East Java,” said Icca Gitarolla on Monday, 22/07/2024, yesterday when interviewed. Icca Gitarolla also shared her messages and impressions about the journey of becoming a GenRe Ambassador.

“I have become the 2023 Ngawi District GenRe Ambassador, then got the opportunity to represent Ngawi District at the provincial level. The process was quite long and I have been preparing since 2023. However, I still undergo all the processes of realizing my work program happily. My message to teenagers is 'The future belongs to those who prepare today. Do not be afraid to take a step, as long as it is good. Because, it's time for the young to plan,'” she added.

With Icca's achievements, it is hoped that more and more teenagers or UNIPMA students will be motivated to participate in positive activities that support self and community development.
