UNIPMA Abdimas Team Holds Javanesse Content Creator Training at Bapas Madiun

The University of PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) Community Service (Abdimas) Lecturer Team carried out socialisation and training activities for the prisoners of the Class II Madiun City Correctional Center (Bapas). The activity which took place on Wednesday, 04/09/2024, yesterday, was part of the Ristekdikti DRTM Grant Programme Community Partnership Empowerment Scheme for the 2024 Funding Year.

With the theme ‘Socialisation of Increasing Trust from the Community to Minimise Bullying Behavior through Javanesse Content Creator,’ this activity was attended by ten prisoners. Dr Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd, Head of PGSD UNIPMA, led the training with three other team members and a number of students.

The main speaker, Akbar Tri Wibowo, a content creator from Ngawi who is known through his Instagram accounts @ngawi_update and @ngawi_mountaineers, provided basic training on how to become a content creator. Akbar explained various tricks, the use of supporting equipment, and shared experiences that can grow economic value through social media.

This training focused on creating content in Javanese, aiming to foster the economic independence of the prisoners. The Abdimas team also provided equipment such as tripods, selfie sticks, gimbals, and ring lights to the Bapas, so that they can be used in content creation.

This activity is expected to provide new skills that are useful for detainees, both while in Bapas and after they return to the community. The UNIPMA Abdimas Team plans to continue assisting the detainees in developing this Javanese content.
