Healthy Walk and UNIPMA Student Creativity Event: Positive Energy to Welcome the New Academic Year
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a healthy walk as a series of Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) events in 2024. This event was attended by thousands of students who started the journey from GOR Cendekia UNIPMA and returned to the same location as the end point, Saturday, 07/09/2024, yesterday.
This healthy walk event is one of the important events in welcoming new students, which aims to introduce them to the campus environment and create a familiar atmosphere among fellow students.
This activity was also attended by UNIPMA leaders, starting from the Rectorate, Deans, Head of Study Programmes, and PPLP PT PGRI. In fact, a number of school representatives from SMA, SMK, and MA throughout Madiun City also attended this event, showing high enthusiasm for the activity.
The Head of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun, Drs. H. Imam Sujud, officially released the participants of the healthy walk with a spirit of togetherness. The route was taken around the area around the campus, which provided an opportunity for new students to get to know more closely the academic environment that they will occupy for the next few years.
After the walk, the event continued with a showcase of new student creativity. This activity became a platform for students to showcase their talents and abilities in front of campus officials and fellow students. The performances presented included various art forms, ranging from dance, poetry recitation, to music, all of which had gone through a rigorous selection process beforehand.
The Chief Executive of PKKMB UNIPMA 2024, Dr Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd, revealed that this creative event is part of an effort to help new students adapt more quickly to campus life. ‘By providing this fun stage, we hope students can more easily communicate, mingle, and get to know each other,’ he said.
This festivity is a sign that UNIPMA does not only focus on academic aspects, but also on character development and student creativity. Through activities like this, new students are expected to feel more accepted and ready to face challenges in the world of lectures.
