Improve the Quality of University Quality Assurance, UNIPMA Benchmarking to UMM 

The Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of the University of PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a Benchmarking activity at the University of Muhmamadiyah Malang (UMM) on Saturday, (17/12/2022).

In this Benchmarking activity, the UNIPMA delegation was led by the Deputy Chancellor for Field IV, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Sc., Head of LPM, Dr. Wasilatul Murtafiah along with the ranks of LPM and Faculty Quality Assurance (PMF) as well as the Head and Secretary of the Accreditation Bureau.

Head of LPM UNIPMA Dr. Wasilatul Murtafiah, M.Pd., said that during his visit to the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), the UNIPMA LPM group was received by the UMM SIM & SPMI Survey Division Secretary, Dr. Ir. Wahono, M.P. In his remarks, Wahono appreciated this activity as a forum for exchanging information, knowledge and experiences; both from BPMI UMM and LPM UNIPMA.

In addition to discussing the organizational structure of each quality assurance agency, the meeting with UMM also discussed a quality assurance system that was managed consistently and continuously.

In the meeting with BPMI UMM it was also discussed how UMM managed accreditation. UNIPMA also shared experiences regarding management of quality assurance at UNIPMA. Meanwhile, the aim of LPM UNIPMA at UMM was to find out and gain knowledge about the quality assurance process that was well managed and sustainable at UMM.

Deputy Chancellor for Field IV UNIPMA, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Sc., emphasized that UNIPMA itself had carried out the SPMI cycle. Nevertheless, UNIPMA is not complacent and continues to learn about quality assurance and university accreditation management considering the changes are so fast. This is reflected in the many new regulations that have been enacted such as accreditation changes both from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) and Independent Accreditation Institutions (LAM), the Accreditation Rating Supplementary Conversion Instrument (ISK), 9 criteria, as well as the Accreditation Rating Fulfillment Monitoring Instrument. (IPEPA).
