The compulsory program for students who take the 8th semester is to carry out a Real Work Lecture or usually called as KKN. In 2017, KKN program in Universitas PGRI Madiun is different from the previous years, because its implementation only in Madiun Regency. KKN takes 4 weeks or 28 days, starting from 6 July 2017 until 2 August 2017. KKN in Universitas PGRI Madiun conducted in Madiun Regency. It covers 3 districts of Pilang Kenceng sub-district (14 villages), Gemarang sub-district (7 villages) and Kare district (8 villages). Total students for this program are 851. They divided into 2 classes, namely regular class (751 students) and KKBPK / BKKBN class (100 students). Each group has 16 students. The implementation and permission for KKN 2017 are going smoothly, because previously the institution has entered into MOU with all related parties.

The series of KKN events in Universitas PGRI Madiun begins with debriefing KKN. The debriefing was held on May 23, 2017 at Graha Cendekia for regular class students. Subsequently, on May 24, 2017 the debriefing was held for KKBPK / BKKBN classes. The speaker of the debriefing was delivered directly by BKKBN of East Java province. The purpose of the briefing is to introduce the vision and mission of KKN in Universitas PGRI Madiun as well as explain the rights and obligations of students when they are serving in their respective villages. There are 5 Sectors of KKN program in Universitas PGRI Madiun, but this time it has excellent programs namely Nutrition Garden and Mapping and Family Cultivation.

3 June, 2017 students evaluate the briefing of KKN. The purpose of this evaluation is to measure the students' knowledge about KKN. The series of events continued on Thursday, June 06, 2017 where the group of KKN participants officially departed to the location of KKN. The ceremony of departure is done at Graha Cendekia.

Through the ceremony of KKN departure, Drs. Dwi Setiyadi. MM, advised the students to keep the good name of Universitas PGRI Madiun, can implement the vision of PGRI University of Madiun in community service.
