Since the inauguration of IKIP PGRI Madiun, STIE Dharma Iswara and STT Dharma Iswara became Universitas PGRI Madiun, this is the first time for Univeristas PGRI Madiun held a graduation and post-graduate ceremony. Thursday, May 18^th, 2017 Universitas PGRI Madiun releases 204 graduates either from postgraduate or undergraduate level. The series of processions entitled "The Open Senate Graduation Meeting I and Graduate I Universitas PGRI Madiun" raised the theme The Role of Universities in Improving Competitiveness.

Through his speech, Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. H. Parji conveys the role of UNIPMA in improving competitiveness. It is Focusing on knowledge-based economy. UNIPMA students must have future creativity through innovation, productivity, etc. The existence of creativity will meet the changing expectations of customers in the world of work. Furthermore, as a leading university, UNIPMA does not forget the process of research productivity to be a priority in order to improve the technology and quality of education. The steps taken by UNIPMA cannot be separated from the adjustment of the times and patterns of lifestyle changes.

Furthermore, at the end of the speech, Mr. H. Parji advised that the graduation is not the end of the struggle but it becomes the first milestone of the struggle to serve the society and the wider life.
