Inauguration of Indonesian Training Center For Indonesian Foreigners (BIPA) In Universitas PGRI Madiun 

As one of the leading universities, Universitas PGRI Madiun inaugurated Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) on May 23, 2017. The purpose of the establishment of BIPA UNIPMA is to provide facilities for prospective Indonesian teachers who want to teach foreign speakers. In addition, BIPA UNIPMA is a place for foreign speakers to deepen the ability of Indonesian language.

BIPA UNIPMA was inaugurated by the Vice Rector IV Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono. Through his speech, he suggested that the presence of BIPA UNIPMA is expected to be able to make UNIPMA as training and learning center of BIPA in East Java West Region.

The first program of BIPA UNIPMA is the holding of Indonesian Language Learning Training for Foreign Speakers. The training was organized by UNIPMA in collaboration with Teacher Affiliates and Indonesian Foreign Speakers (APPBIPA) East Java. The training was attended by 35 participants aimed at improving human resources, especially in UNIPMA in order to be able to teach Bahasa Indonesia to foreign speakers.

As a speaker in the BIPA Training sessions that held on 23-24 May 2017 was Dr. Arif Budi Wurianto, M.Si, the Chairman of APPBIPA East Java. The presenters provide sufficient supplies for the participants in order to be the basic provisions in the teaching of BIPA in the future. Through this major milestone, the teaching of BIPA in UNIPMA is expected to be the hallmark of UNIPMA as a university that cares about the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia.
