Wednesday, May 17, 2017 Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) was awarded "Superior College with Main Predicate". This award is the first time accepted by UNIPMA after transforming into University. Previously, IKIP PGRI Madiun succeeded in maintaining the award for Superior College for 9 consecutive years. Now, not even one year old UNIPMA successfully back among 325 PTS in the scope Kopertis Region VII East Java.

Through the excellence of the quality of management / governance, human resources, research, community service and scientific writing, and student affairs, UNIPMA succeeded in getting the fifth rank form 22 universities in the scope of Kopertis VII East Java which obtained the Main Predicate. UNIPMA is able to compete with four private universities in East Java namely: Muhammadyah University of Malang, University of Surabaya, Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya and Petra Christian University Surabaya.

The top five ranking indicates that UNIPMA is a leading private university in the western region of Kopertis VII East Java. In the future, the award is expected to be a milestone for the struggle of UNIPMA to always be the best private university. UNIPMA is able to maintain the superior quality and become the trust of the community. UNIPMA graduates are expected to have the competitiveness in order to meet the economic growth based on competence.
