Gold Medal for Solo Keroncong Putri Category As a Cultural Heritage Preservation 

Although in history keroncong music originated from Portuguese, but as its development, this music began to mix with Indonesian musical instruments such as flutes and some components of the gamelan. As time goes by, keroncong music began marginalized because it was unable to compete with the emergence of new music that is considered as pop music. For the youth, keroncong music is considered obsolete or not in accordance with the times.

Dripping on the existence of keroncong music in Indonesia, "Porsenasma PT PGRI in Indonesia 2017" which is held at Universitas PGRI Palembang, one of the competition was Nyanyi Keroncong. The proud thing for Universitas PGRI Madiun is the success of Arisia Septianto who took home the gold medal. Mathematics student of eighth semester succeeded in winning gold medal in category “Menyanyi Keroncong Solo Putri”.

"This is my effort to preserve the culture of the nation, I love keroncong although some people consider me out of date" said Arisia during the breaks of writing her thesis. This is the evidence of love from one UNIPMA student in order to preserve the nation’s culture.
Porsenasma PT PGRI in Indonesia 2017, also presents superior seeds with the acquisition of one silver medal and thirteen bronze medals from branch of table tennis, karate, badminton, photography and volleyball.
