To support steps to accommodate student activities more. Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) inaugurated a new building, the UKM Building on Friday (17/3/2023) in the backyard of the UNIPMA campus 1 building. Present at the inauguration, the Chairman of the PT PGRI Madiun PPLP foundation, Drs. H. Imam Sujudi, and his board of supervisors, Chancellor of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. along with vice-chancellors, Head of Student Affairs Bureau, Dean, Head of Study Program, UKM Advisors and UKM representatives.

The event began with the opening, namely the appearance of Reog Ponorogo which is one of the UKM owned by UNIPMA, followed by remarks by the Chancellor of UNIPMA and the Chair of the Foundation and continued with cutting the ribbon to mark the inauguration of the UKM building.

In his remarks, the Chancellor of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. said that UNIPMA appreciates and implements UKM through the inauguration of this new building. So that students can aspire, inspire, and innovate toward achievement. “The form is that they are given the freedom to develop interests, talents, and talents related to student affairs. We hope that this building will be used according to its duties (the UKM secretariat)," he explained.

He also expressed his gratitude to PPLP PT PGRI Madiun and the management for providing UKM building facilities. This is intended so that in the future student activities will be much better and increase again.

The Chancellor further said that UNIPMA has 16 SMEs and 30 Orgamawa. Of course, with this new facility, it is hoped that non-academic achievements will be more glorious and not inferior to academic achievements.

This is evidenced by the UKM pencak silat team that won the championship at the Banyuwangi Pencak Silat National Championship last week. "This is an extraordinary activity, even though the Pencak Silat UKM is a new UKM, it has already shown its achievements," he said.

The Chancellor advised the students, about the inauguration and use of this new building. UBL student achievement is increasing. Hopefully, when students graduate, they will not only excel in the academic field but also the non-academic field, namely by being equipped with student soft skills through this UKM activity.
"Let's make the best use of this facility, and keep it clean," he said.
