One indicator of the existence of lecturers is scientific publications in reputable national and international journals. Publication of the results of lecturers' research in reputable international journals is one of the achievements of the Main Performance Indicators (KPI) of higher education institutions. This KPI achievement is used to improve the quality of lecturers, study programs and universities, so as to improve the quality of graduates. UNIPMA continues to support its lecturers to be more productive in producing works.

Efforts made by the Biology Education Study Program in increasing the productivity of lecturers are by holding workshops and assisting the writing of scientific articles in reputable international journals. This workshop is an activity from the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM) grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2022, which was held for 2 days on 20-21 October 2022. Dewi Ratih Tirto Sari from the University of Ibrahimy Situbondo, who has produced many scientific publications. "The purpose of this workshop is to improve the skills and abilities of lecturers in writing articles/manuscripts, choosing international journals indexed by Scopus or WoS and producing quality scientific publications," said Dr. Cicilia Novi primiani, PIC of activities.

This activity was attended by 25 lecturers who already have research data ready to make scientific articles. This workshop activity was made with the concept of strengthening quality control and substantive editing, assisting analysis techniques and preparing data for publication, tips on choosing relevant journals and other supporting materials.

"This workshop is interesting because the resource persons provide real implementation of scientific article writing through best practices and intensive assistance," said Dr. Linda Yuhanna, lecturer in Biology Education Study Program. It is hoped that more lecturers who write in national and international journals can increase lecturer productivity and have a positive impact on the progress of the Biology Education Study Program and the PGRI Madiun University, and can be cited by various groups.
