UNIPMA Arrival of Guests from the Philippines and Malaysia 

Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) received a visit from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Philippines and Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic (POLISAS), Malaysia.

The arrival of guests from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Philippines on 24-26 October 2022, while guests from Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic (POLISAS), Malaysia on 27-29 October 2022. Guests from ISPSC Philippines included three lecturers while from POLISAS Malaysia there are 11 lecturers and 12 students.

The two guests from the Philippines and Malaysia were warmly welcomed by the Chancellor of UNIPMA and the Vice Chancellors and the BKH team. The arrival of guests from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Philippines and Polytechnic Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (POLISAS), Malaysia to UNIPMA with the aim of continuing the longstanding collaboration and initiating new collaborations. The collaborations that have been carried out with ISPSC are: student exchange (credit transfer), lecturer exchange (Guest lecture), joint-conference.

Meanwhile, the plans for the next collaboration are: joint research, joint supervision, and student internships. Furthermore, with POLISAS, what has been implemented is the exchange of internship students, namely the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SEA-TVET) program.

SEA-TVET is a consortium formed by the ministries of education of countries in the Southeast Asia region which aims to increase student and staff exchange activities which include internship programs and industrial cooperation between countries in the ASEAN region. For further cooperation are: credit transfer and lecturer exchange.

On this occasion, the signing of the MOU/MOA between UNIPMA and ISPSC Philippines and POLISAS Malaysia was also carried out. In addition, UNIPMA students and POLISAS students also introduced each other to games and food in their respective countries.

Vice Chancellor for Cooperation, Internship, Publication, Quality Assurance and Alumni, Dr. Jeffry Handhika M.Pd., M.SI said that the UNIPMA student exchange with POLISAS has been around for a long time.

"I hope this cooperation will continue. Hopefully the knowledge will get added value and hopefully the programs implemented will be more successful," he said.

A delegation from POLISAS Malysia also visited the office of the mayor of Madiun, this was very warmly welcomed by Drs. H. Maidi. Meanwhile, the Academic Steering Committee of Polisas Wan Zuraida expressed his appreciation for the achievements that have been achieved by the City of Madiun during the leadership of the Mayor of Maidi. “We also thank you for being so well received. These various achievements made us admire the City of Madiun,'' he said.

Not only that, they also visited Dolanan Village, Puntukdoro Village, Plaosan District, Magetan Regency. The dozens of students and lecturers were greeted directly by the Puntukdoro Village Head (Kades), Ir. Cintoko Samodro, together with village officials and dozens of residents of Puntukdoro Village.

The village head of Puntukdoro explained, with the innovation of Kampung Dolanan, it is hoped that the children in his village will start to love traditional toys so that they are not too dependent on cellphones.

Guests from ISPSC Philippines returned earlier on October 26, 2022, while guests from POLISAS Malaysia returned on October 29, 2022.
