Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) through UPT Computer initiated the implementation of international standard IT competency certification. This is one of the efforts to improve the quality of graduates as well as one of the completeness of the Certificate of Companion Diploma (SKPI). Certiport as a leading global standard certification service provider portal has officially appointed UNIPMA as the first and only International IT Certification Center in Madiun.

IT certification scheme in the field of Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) Digital Literacy which is one of the certification services available at Certiport. The IT certification program was attended by more than 1000 participants and took place in 9 campus computer laboratories accompanied by each proctor in each lab. The proctors involved were 20 people consisting of UNIPMA lecturers and employees who have been internationally certified in the field of Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) Digital Literacy.

Head of UPT Computer, Andria, M. Kom., MTA., MCE., MOS. conveyed that the importance of IT competency certificates for students in an effort to improve the quality of graduates as well as preparation for facing competition in the world of work, especially in the current digitalization era. While the urgency for the general public, the IT certification program can be used as a portfolio, increasing competencies related to understanding digital literacy on the Internet and computers as well as being the participant's experience in participating in international standard IT certifications. Participants who pass the certification will immediately get an e-certificate that is recognized by many countries so that it can certainly foster confidence in competing in the world of work.
