UNIPMA Lecturer Team Holds Ecoliteracy Strengthening Workshop in P5 frame at SDN Sukowinangun 2 Magetan 

The gradual implementation of an independent curriculum in elementary schools requires schools to design independent learning that is appropriate to students' needs and contextual. Literacy as one of the important components in this curriculum must be taken seriously. To organize a contextual and needs-based literacy program, every educator is required to have the skills to plan, implement, and evaluate literacy programs in the field.

Departing from this, the Universitas PGRI Madiun Lecturer Team (UNIPMA) through the community service agenda (Abdimas) held a Workshop on Strengthening the Ecoliteracy Program in the P5 frame at SDN Sukowinangun 2 Magetan. The event will run from June to September 2022.

The Abdimas team, chaired by Sri Lestari, M.Pd., with members Dewi Tryanasari, M.Pd., and 1 student Alfina Fitria Rahmasari, was fully involved in the implementation of activities at the school. This Abdimas activity was attended by 8 teachers and 1 Principal of SDN Sukowinangun 2 Magetan.

"The purpose of this Abdimas activity is to improve the skills of the literacy team in schools in planning ecoliteracy programs that are relevant to the needs of students' self-development," said Sri Lestari, the leader of the Abdimas Team.

The implementation of this program begins with analysis of problems and needs to map problems and appropriate solutions, implementation of assistance by providing basic literacy knowledge strengthening, P5, program design and program assistance followed by evaluation. This program was well received by the school. The ecoliteracy program design in the P5 frame which is produced as one of the assistance products is expected to be carried out optimally. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out ongoing assistance and monitoring of the program.
