UNIPMA PGSD Study Program Explores the Potential of Village Tourism Through Cultural Fence

The PGSD Study Program at PGRI Madiun University is fully committed to the implementation of community service as a form of higher education. This commitment is realized through the implementation of Thematic Community Service Program in synergy with the Program at LPPM UNIPMA.

Thematic KKN activities carried out at UNIPMA still have weaknesses, one of which is the very wide field of work so that there is no deepening of the problem solving process in the field. For this reason, through the BP3K MBKM Grant Program received by the PGSD UNIPMA Study Program in the 2021 budget year, the PGSD Study Program focuses on KKN activities that aim to strengthen the potential of cultural tourism in 3 partner villages while strengthening human resources as managers. The program is called Pagar Budaya (Socio-Cultural Studio Fighters).

This program focuses on literacy activities and mapping of local culture including arts, crafts, and customs that develop in the community, strengthening local culture through training for the younger generation through youth organizations and PKK, establishing a partnership-based cultural development center, and structuring management as a follow-up. program.

Community members in the three villages welcomed this activity and even participated in 'nyengkuyung' on the events carried out in the program. "From this activity, many results were obtained, including the formation of the Dolanan village as a brand in Puntukdoro village, the creation of Candimulyo Batik Dance as a means of supporting cultural events and promotions in Candimulyo village, the creation of a welcome dance in Sidorejo village as an asset of the arts community as well as support for the Mangiran site ritual and documented activities. culture and tourism potential with local wisdom in the three villages in the form of a cultural guidebook,” said Dr. Hendra Erik Rudyanto as program implementer in the field. For the follow-up program, the team plans to conduct village web management training as a form of strengthening tourism management in the future.
