Inbound PMM Program students at Universitas PGRI Madiun see Porang cultivation 

Friday, December 24, 2021. The Nusantara Module, which was attended by Inbound Students at PGRI Madiun University, today, December 18, 2021, saw and asked questions directly with resource persons on Porang cultivation at Poktan Porang, Kepel Village, Kare Madiun District. On this occasion, PMM students in the Nusantara Module activity, which were guided directly by Mrs. Maya Kartika Sari, M, Pd, assisted by Mentor Binti Isticomah, were able to visit the Taman Gligi Tourism village in Poktan Porang, Kepel Village, Kare Madiun District.

According to one of the PMM Nusantara Module students, Ventia from Patimura University said that "although the journey to Poktan Porang is very far and the climb is steep, but I am happy to be able to see the Porang plant directly".

Muhammad Ikram from the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar said the same phrase that "I got new knowledge about porang cultivation from Mr. Bambang as a resource person, and I just found out how to plant and cultivate porang plants.

Mr. Bambang as the representative of the Porang Poktan said that “Porang is a plant cultivation that can improve the economy of the community in Kepel village, before the existence of porang, people only became laborers and laborers in the city.

But now thanks to the porang, the old and young people of Kepel village are participating in the porang cultivation and the results are amazing, some can buy a car thanks to this porang, many even have houses and land from selling porang, because porang is a plant that is easy to cultivate. so many people plant porang between large plants such as durian, sengon, and teak”.

The hope of the porang farmers in the future is that the porang will get better in terms of price and distribution, and hopefully the porang can improve the community's economy.
