PMM UNIPMA students practice Silat at Padepokan SH Terate 

Wednesday, December 15, 2021. The 13th Nusantara Module for Diversity at PGRI Madiun University, together with the supervising lecturer Maya Kartika Sari, M.Pd, visited the Pesilatan hermitage of SH Terate Madiun. At Padepokan, students are taught silat and practice together with SH Terate students. Students feel very happy to be directly involved in practicing together with the trainers and students of the hermitage.

Rivaldo, a student from the State University of Gorontalo, explained that he was very happy to be a part of the PMM participants. "With the Nusantara Module, I can directly see, observe, and be directly involved in activities. Especially in this diversity 13 activity, we were invited by Mrs. Maya Kartika along with other students to practice directly with the coach and the hermitage children. I really enjoyed learning martial arts," he said.

This is his first experience, the student from the State University of Gorontalo. "This is the first time I've had this experience," he said.

The same thing was expressed by Meiske from Maluku, who was very happy to be able to practice together at the SH Terate hermitage and was enthusiastic about participating in the exercises. "Even though I'm sweaty and tired, I'm very happy to be able to train with the coach from SH Terate," he said.

Happiness and pride also included other students who attended and practiced together with the coach and the hermitage children. They hope that the Pencak Silat in Madiun can spread to all regions in Indonesia, and hopefully the City of Madiun will continue to maintain this martial arts city so that it remains a hallmark of the city of Madiun.

The supervising lecturer, Maya Kartika Sari, M.Pd, when interviewed via Whastsapp said that she advised PMM students "continue to preserve regional arts and culture and popularize them throughout Indonesia. Hopefully the younger generation will continue to love and be proud of local culture and arts. tolerance in diversity", he explained

The supervisor hopes that with a direct visit to the Pasilatan Pasilatan SH Terate so that students get to know firsthand the icon of the city of Madiun, namely silat and can add to the repertoire of knowledge and insight of the students.
