Chancellor Welcomes 45 Students from PT Mitra and Ready to Study Offline at UNIPMA 

Thursday, December 2, 2021. The Chancellor of the University of PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) welcomed fifty-five students participating in the 2021 Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program from 15 partner universities. This 2021 PMM Student Welcoming and Admission activity was held offline at the Graha Cendekia Building, Thursday afternoon (2/12/2021).

Deputy Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau who is also the Person in Charge (PIC) of the UNIPMA PMM program, Agita Risma Nurhikmawati, S.Hum MA, in her speech said that out of a total of 55 inbound PMM students, 45 students were already in Madiun to take offline lessons at UNIPMA.

"From a total of 55 students of the Independent Student Exchange program stationed at the University, 45 students have come since November 26 yesterday to carry out offline learning," he explained.

“These 45 students come from 15 partner universities outside Java, be it from Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Papua, and Nusa Tenggara. These 45 students will later take part in offline learning for 1 semester at UNIPMA,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Chancellor of UNIPMA, Prof. Dr. H. Parji, M.Pd., in his speech said that PMM students will not only take part in learning at UNIPMA, but will also be introduced to socio-cultural conditions in Madiun City.

“This independent student exchange program is part of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus program. Therefore, the presence of students from various public and private universities from outside Java is not only meant to participate in learning at UNIPMA, but of course also learns about the socio-cultural diversity that exists in Madiun City," he explained.

Furthermore, he will invite PMM students to the mayor of Madiun to get a public lecture. So that PMM students get to know Javanese culture, especially in the city of Madiun. He also hopes that through this program students can see a broader and more concrete example of cultural diversity in Indonesia.
"Thank you my friends for choosing UNIPMA in this PMM program, hopefully through this PMM program, students can see a wider and more concrete example of diversity, be it cultural, religious, or racial diversity in Indonesia, " he hoped.
"I'm sorry if there is something lacking in the welcoming service, it's also kept under strict health procedures. Hopefully this doesn't reduce the meaning of this offline Inbound student admission event, increases a sense of unity and oneness, introduces Nusantara culture. After graduating, the question is not only GPA , but also asked about soft skills and hard skills including understanding other people's cultures.
At the end of his speech, Parji also congratulated Unipma students who took part in the PMM program who were going to study at PT Mitra online.
