Growing Entrepreneurship Spirit, UNIPMA Holds Webinars Themed Preparing Entrepreneurship Generation

Thursday, November 4, 2021. Entrepreneurship plays an important role in economic development. Entrepreneurship or entrepreneurship is the courage to make efforts to meet the needs of life carried out by someone on the basis of a will, by utilizing all the potential they have to produce something that is beneficial to themselves and others. The skills needed to become a successful entrepreneur are innovation and the ability to create new, creative ideas.

Regarding this, UNIPMA through the Head of Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business tries to respond to this opportunity by digging deeper into the importance of growing and developing an entrepreneurial spirit or entrepreneurship in the younger generation, especially among students by holding a "Webinar" entitled "Preparing an Entrepreneurship Generation towards a Tough Indonesia" . The webinar was held on Monday, October 25, 2021 through a zoom meeting and UNIPMA live youtube.

The Webinar presented 4 outstanding resource persons including, Karuniawati hasanah, S.E., MM., M. Agus Sudrajat, S.E., M.Sc., Heny Sidanti, SE., MM., and Dra. Juli Murwani, M.Si.

One of the materials from the resource person Dra. Juli Murwani, M.Sc., entitled Improving Student Entrepreneurial Spirit in Supporting the Growth of Indonesian MSMEs.

He said that entrepreneurship can be an alternative as well as a solution to reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia. Because unemployment in the productive age is currently so high, this is most likely because there are fewer available jobs. Some of the benefits that will be obtained by becoming an entrepreneur, including getting benefits from their work, further honing their soft skills, a lot of experience that will be gained at work, we can also learn to recognize our passions / desires at the same time.

"Hopefully Indonesian students are able to develop and become young entrepreneurs who are creative and able to survive during the COVID-19 pandemic and be able to increase the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia," he concluded.
