Last Day of PKKMB, UNIPMA New Students Provided Basic State Defense Order 

Friday, September 10, 2021. Today the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) enters the last day. On this day, new students were given material on the Basic Order of State Defense and the Universal Defense System and the Dangers of Radicalism, Terrorism and the Dangers of Drugs.

The speaker, Commander of Korem 081 DSJ Madiun, Colonel (Inf) Waris Ari Nugroho in delivering the material said that the role of future students as role models for the community in their environment and other Indonesian people in implementing the values ​​of defending the country, maintaining character values ​​and identity nation, maintain national unity and integrity for the sake of the integrity and survival of the nation, realize the national movement to defend the state as a form of participating in maintaining state sovereignty, territorial integrity and national safety, as well as being creative and innovative in building himself as a future leader of the nation.

“In addition, state defense activities for students are needed for character building, strengthening mental revolution and preparing students to face threats, such as; drug abuse, radicalism, natural disasters, conflicts between students," added Colonel (Inf) Waris.

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, students must work together and collaborate with the government in fighting Covid-19. This is a shared task, the task of Humanity, it's time for all to obey government policies. So that students can adapt well after receiving material about defending the country.

While the material on the Basic Order of State Defense and the Universal Defense System and the Dangers of Radicalism, Terrorism and the Dangers of Drugs is expected to foster a sense of love for the country as well as fortify new students from the dangers of radicalism and drugs.

In addition to the Commander of Korem 081 DSJ Madiun, the presenters were also from the East Java BNPT, Komjen Pol Boy Rafli Amar. The head of the East Java BNPT appealed to new UNIPMA students that drugs are a serious threat to the nation that can damage the nation's generation with various consequences, such as HIV AIDS. For this reason, there is a need for socialization on how to prevent drug use, especially in adolescents.
