Unipma Lecturer Holds Socialization on Forming Healthy, Harmonious and Quality Millennial Generation Families during the Covid19 Pandemic

Saturday, July 17, 2021. The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic bring social, economic, health and psychological impacts for everyone. The readiness of the millennial generation in facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic needs to be accompanied. Millennials are teenagers aged 19-24 when this year is the generation entering early adulthood. This generation will experience changes from various sides, both hormonal, physical, psychological and social changes. Millennials today are not a few who choose to marry young. This of course brings its own challenges in dealing with households.

Knowledge about forming a healthy and harmonious family is needed for the millennial generation in the early days of marriage. It aims to provide provision of readiness to foster and form a quality family. Readiness to marry and build a household is an important aspect that needs to be considered by the millennial generation. Marriage with not enough age or teenage marriage tends to trigger divorce in the household.

This underlies Linda Yuhanna and Rischa Pramudia Trisnani to go directly to the village to provide socialization and assistance to young families of the millennial generation. One of the villages visited by the two lecturers was Kerik Village. This activity was held on Sunday 27 June 2021 with 20 young couples as participants. This event is very interesting because it is packaged in the form of a talk show.

"I am happy with Mrs. Rischa and Mrs. Linda's material, they are very millennial and understand the feelings of newly married couples," said Tika, one of the participants. This activity is one of the lecturers' collaborative community service activities.

"Sharing knowledge and interactive talk shows, participants are very enthusiastic to give their views about a harmonious, healthy and quality family," said Rischa Pamudia as the speaker. This activity also involved BKKBN cadres and Kerik Village officials. The community hopes that this activity will continue to be carried out periodically. It is hoped that this activity will provide inspiration for millennial families in building a quality future generation of the nation.
