Wednesday, July 14, 2021, the Central Bureau of KI, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held the "Socialization of the Introduction of Intellectual Property Rights" on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 online through the Zoom Meeting application. This activity was attended by UNIPMA lecturers and students as well as the public.

In this socialization as resource person is Dr. Budi Agus Riwandi, S.H, M.Hum from Sentra HKI UII Yogyakarta who has long experience in the field of Intellectual Property Rights which includes patents, trademarks, and copyrights. We need to know that a patent is an exclusive right granted by the state to an inventor for his invention in the field of technology, which for a certain period of time carries out the invention himself for other parties to implement it.

While Copyright is the exclusive right for the creator or recipient of the right to announce or reproduce his creation or give permission for it without reducing the restrictions according to the applicable laws and regulations.

Head of UNIPMA KI Center, Dr. Darmadi, M.Pd. said that this socialization was held because many lecturers/students are indeed known as intellectuals, namely people who are within the scope of science, of course, cannot be separated from activities to produce intellectual works. In order to introduce and understand Intellectual Property Rights among students who produce many intellectual works.

"This activity is expected to raise student awareness about the importance of intellectual property rights and foster motivation to be creative, innovate and innovate so that students not only work and innovate but also protect them with the force of law so that the owners of innovative ideas or works are not plagiarized or recognized by irresponsible parties to the detriment of for the owner of the innovation idea or the work itself.
