Industry Visit of Electrical Engineering Education Program (PTE) of Universitas PGRI Madiun Student, Synchronize Science with Field Studies

Industrial visit of Electrical Engineering Education Program (PTE) students at Universitas PGRI Madiun took place on Thursday (5/3), this visit was located at PT. PLN (PERSERO) main unit of Tanjung Jati B Assembly, Jepara, Central Java. By carrying out the theme of improving skills through the industry, this industry visit aims to synchronize and improve the knowledge they can get on the lecture bench with the reality in the field.

The industrial visit activity centered on material exposure by the team of PT. PLN (PERSERO) and field studies where students can see and directly observe industrial equipment. Students also observe the path of coal transfer from the sea to the coal reservoirs and equipment for the generation process.

"unfortunately, we cannot enter the generation room because the room is considered a very vulnerable area so that we can only observe from the outside, but there is still much knowledge delivered," said Dwi Susanto Widodo, Chief of the PTE Industry Visit Committee.

Dwi Susanto also said that the industry visit activity was very useful especially for engineering students because they could see how work in the real field was. This can also be a provision for them to work in the future. "There are so many benefits we get, one of which is that we can observe firsthand how the industry works by practitioners who are competent in the field," Dwi Susanto said.
