The Synergy of Universitas PGRI Madiun KKNT Students and Community Figures Develop the Environmental Potential of Mangirejo hamlet

KKNT village development Universitas PGRI Madiun 2020 is a form of community service by Universitas PGRI Madiun Students to motivate and help the community so that village communities can develop their potential. KKNT village development in Sidorejo Village, Mangirejo hamlet is an example of community service to develop the potential of porang plants in the hamlet.

Porang plant is a tuber plant that grows a lot in Mangirejo Hamlet, but due to lack of support for the provision of porang nurseries, the cultivation of porang plants in Mangirejo Hamlet is still lacking. Procurement of Green House educational park becomes a useful facility for the people of Mangirejo hamlet and surrounding areas. In addition to getting support for porang plant nurseries, the greenhouse also provides an educational park and a nutrition park to be utilized by the surrounding community. The educational park itself contains porang plants, bananas and wild orchids planted by KKN students, while the nutrition park contains vegetable and fruit plants.

Green House educational park is a synergy work program carried out by two KKNT groups of Universitas PGRI Madiun, each from the village development KKNT group wave 1 and 2. "The Green House idea emerged after me and my friends conducted a location survey. In Mangirejo Hamlet, many people plant porang plants, because according to the KKNT theme we took, namely agro-tourism, we decided to make a greenhouse that could later be used as a nursery and care for porang plants, " Bagus Mardika said, KKNT student of Universitas PGRI Madiun.

The land used is Saradan Perhutani Land so that KKNT village development students in Mangirejo Hamlet work together with LMDH (Forest Village Community Institution) Rimba Jati in the construction of the Green House. "The greenhouse is also a pioneer of the educational park, which hopefully the educational park will later be used as a porang plant demonstration plot and as a means for educational tourism," Bagus Mardika added.

Grand launching Green House educational park on Thursday (27/2) was also attended by the Rector of the Universitas PGRI Madiun, Dr. H. Parji, M.Pd, Deputy Chancellor 1, Chairperson of LPPM and DPRD East Java. The GreenHouse Taman Edukasi will be developed in the future by the people of Mangirejo Hamlet and is expected to be able to provide sustainable benefits for the surrounding community.
