Thursday, August 17, 2017 the Indonesian people celebrate the 72^nd independence of the Indonesian Republic. The moment of celebration of independence became the arena of Indonesian society to do all activities related to the Independence Day of the Indonesian Republic. All these activities of course aim to foster a sense of love homeland. However, it is deeply regretted that the nationalism of Indonesia itself appears at a certain moment when all the noise is over; the sense of Nationalism is faded and replaced with all the busyness and competitive happening in society. This is certainly a very pity, given how important the sense of nationalism in each individual community to advance the Nation.

In response to the condition, on Monday 21st August 2017 University of PGRI Madiun held an Interactive Dialogue held at Campus I UNIPMA, in Meeting Room I. The dialogue was entitled 'Bangkitnya Semangat, Unites the Soul to Build the Beloved Country' in collaboration with RRI (Radio Republik Indonesia). The interactive dialogue began with the signing of MoU between UNIPMA and RRI. It was represented by the Rector of University of PGRI Madiun Dr.H. Parji, M.Pd and chairman of LPP RRI, Mrs. Dra.Teguh Yuli Astuti, M.M.

Interactive dialogue attended by the arrival of Dr.H. Parji, M.Pd, Major Meina Helmi, S. Sos, and Mr. Gandi Yunita as speakers. The excitement of this event was also can be seen from the enthusiasm of students to ask questions, as well as the many questions from the public via telephone and Short Message to Radio Republik Indonesia.

"Independence is a form of expression of freedom from the constraints of colonization" said Mr. Gandi Yunita as one of the speakers on the Interactive Dialogue. Viewed from the meaning of independence itself, now the meaning of freedom shifts to be wider "liberty is an essential freedom" said Mr. Gandi, and now with the emergence of the 1945 Constitution, and other rules that can protect us from the meaning of independence.
