Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas PGRI Madiun has held a seminar which held in the hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business on May 23, 2017. The seminar entitled "The Role of Sharia Banking in National Development” has been successfully held. The seminar was attended by 280 participants consisting of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business and also the representative of the Economic Education and Accounting Education.

The main speaker of the seminar was the President Director of BRI Syariah Center, Muhammad Hadi Santoso. In addition to seminar, cooperation with BRI Syariah was signed with the signing of MoU for work apprenticeship program. The new thing is to apply mini bank with UNIPMA. The realization of cooperation is also implied in the form of scholarship of 48 million that is given to 10 students consisting of 4 Management students, 4 Accounting students, 1 student of Accounting Education and 1 Economics Education student.

This seminar can be regarded as an extraordinary program. It can be said that this program as a prime program of creative excellence because it is able to empower students of  Universitas PGRI Madiun. As we know that current sharia banking began to be superior in Indonesia, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas PGRI Madiun hopes that this program can be imitated by other faculty, because it is able to provide a good prospect for the future of students in the global era.
