UNIPMA Law Student Undertakes Mandatory Legal Professional Internship at the Jakarta Administrative Court

UNIPMA — Katheryna Bunga Prastiwi, a student of the Law Study Program at the Faculty of Law, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), undertook a Mandatory Legal Professional Internship at Dimas & Husen Law Firm. As part of the internship activities, Katheryna had the opportunity to assist lawyers and participate in a visit and court proceedings at the Jakarta Administrative Court (PTUN Jakarta) on Wednesday (27/8).

During the activity, Katheryna assisted the lawyer as an aide in preparing for court proceedings. She also helped prepare and check the completeness of the documents required before the case was heard.

One of the experiences she gained during the internship was visiting PTUN Jakarta with the lawyer. Upon arriving at the court, Katheryna assisted with the administrative process by completing the attendance list for legal representatives for the court hearing queue. She then accompanied the lawyer during court proceedings related to a case concerning a Decree (SK).

“During the internship, I had the opportunity to assist the lawyer, help prepare court documents, and directly observe the court proceedings at PTUN Jakarta. The experience provided an understanding of how legal proceedings are carried out in practice,” she said.

The internship at Dimas & Husen Law Firm was conducted under the supervision of Field Supervisor (DPL) Bintang Ulya Kharisma, S.H., M.Kn., and mentor Rafika Handriani Maisyaroh, S.H.

Through the activity, Katheryna gained experience in understanding the work of lawyers, particularly in preparing for court proceedings and assisting with case handling. The visit to PTUN Jakarta also provided an opportunity to directly observe court proceedings and the working environment within the administrative judiciary.

“The hope is that the Law Study Program will continue to develop and provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience in the legal field,” she added.

For Katheryna, the internship experience serves as a foundation to continue learning, improve her skills, and develop a professional, integrity-driven, and responsible attitude as a prospective law graduate.
