UNIPMA — Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), through the Student Affairs and Relations Bureau (BKH), is providing students with opportunities to gain international learning experience through the 2026 International Credit Transfer (ICT) program. One of its initiatives is the Virtual International Credit Transfer Program in collaboration with Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), Philippines.

The program was introduced through an Orientation and Welcome Program held online via Zoom on Friday (4/9). The orientation served as a preparatory stage before lectures began, with students receiving information about courses, schedules, lecturers, and learning mechanisms.

Based on a report by Sri Wahyuningsih, M.Si., six UNIPMA students participated in the outbound scheme. They came from the Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, and Chemical Engineering study programs.

Meanwhile, 30 ISPSC students participated in the inbound scheme at UNIPMA’s Industrial Engineering Study Program. The program brings together students from both higher education institutions in cross-border academic activities.

Person in Charge of the BKH Foreign Affairs Division at UNIPMA, Dr. Brigitta Septarini R., S.S., M.Pd., said the program provides students with opportunities to gain international academic experience through virtual learning.

“Students need to understand the courses, schedules, learning mechanisms, and forms of assessment before attending classes,” she said.

During the program, UNIPMA students will connect with ISPSC lecturers and students without having to travel physically to the Philippines. Meanwhile, ISPSC students will participate in academic activities at UNIPMA according to the programs that have been prepared.

Communication during lectures will take place through WhatsApp, Messenger, email, and other agreed-upon channels. ISPSC will also use Google Forms, Google Classroom, and other Google-based applications to support the learning process.

UNIPMA students will later be able to join course groups established by ISPSC to access learning materials, assignment information, and other academic requirements.

The orientation session also introduced students and lecturers from both higher education institutions. From UNIPMA, the session involved Dr. Sri Lestari, M.Pd., and Dr. Brigitta Septarini R., S.S., M.Pd., while ISPSC introduced the students and lecturers involved in the program.

The UNIPMA and ISPSC Virtual Credit Transfer Program is part of the development of learning internationalization through technology. This scheme enables students to gain cross-border academic experience while interacting with the academic community of a partner higher education institution in the Philippines.
