UNIPMA — Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) began introducing achievement development pathways to new students on the third day of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) for the 2026/2027 academic year, Wednesday (9/9). In addition to student organizations, students received guidance on potential mapping and programs that could serve as an initial gateway to achieving accomplishments and contributing to society.

The activity, held at Graha Cendekia, began with character building through student organizations, followed by mapping students’ potential in the areas of reasoning, interests, and talents. Both sessions involved the Student Affairs Bureau, the Student Executive Board (BEM), and Student Activity Units (UKM), and featured Dr. Elly's Mersina M, M.Pd., Dr. W. Linda Yuhanna, M.Si., and Dr. Farida Styaningrum, M.Pd.

In addition to materials on potential development and student organizations, new students also received guidance on the higher education system and the Kampus Berdampak concept, delivered by the Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd. The material provided students with an overview of academic life in higher education as well as the importance of students’ roles in creating contributions and positive impacts for society.

Dr. Yoga Ardian Feriandi, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the event chairman, said in an interview that the introduction to the Student Creativity Program (PKM), the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW), and PPK Ormawa was conducted from the PKKMB stage so that students could gain an overview of opportunities to develop themselves.

“PKM and other programs are indeed introduced as early as possible. We hope students will be motivated and see that their role as students can make a meaningful contribution to society,” he said.

According to him, student life does not stop at learning theories in classrooms or laboratories. Various student programs can serve as a means for students to apply their knowledge while also becoming involved in addressing problems in society.

“Students do not only learn theoretically, but can also engage directly with society through PKM, PPK Ormawa, and other programs,” he said.

The achievement development session featured the Student Affairs Bureau and Dr. W. Linda Yuhanna, M.Si. The material focused on PKM, P2MW, and PPK Ormawa as opportunities for students to develop their potential while building a record of achievements throughout their university years.

Dr. Yoga Ardian Feriandi, S.Pd., M.Pd., said this direction is in line with the Kampus Berdampak concept, which encourages knowledge developed in higher education not to remain confined to the campus environment.

“We hope students can create a real impact for positive change in society through the knowledge they acquire in accordance with their respective fields of study,” he concluded.

Through this guidance, new students are encouraged to recognize their potential, dare to seize opportunities, and make the most of their university years to produce beneficial works.
