UNIPMA — One day ahead of the peak event of the Student Creativity Competition (AKM) and Inauguration Performance, freshmen of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) representing their respective faculties fine-tuned their performances through a final rehearsal at Graha Cendekia on Friday (11/9), yesterday.

A total of 20 groups took part in the performance selection stage prepared for the main event. The final rehearsal was not only the last practice session but also an opportunity for participants to adjust their performances to the stage conditions before appearing in front of the audience.

Several technical aspects were refined during the rehearsal, including sound arrangements, lighting, performers’ positions, and the flow of the performances. The supervising team and committee members also guided the participants to ensure that each performance proceeded according to the prepared concept.

The performances prepared by the freshmen were quite diverse, ranging from flash mobs and pencak silat to modern and traditional dances. Each group was given the opportunity to make adjustments directly on stage.

One of the PKKMB committee members, Ahmad Muzaki from the Faculty of Law, said that the 20 groups were not automatically guaranteed to perform at the main event. Participants still had to go through the selection process, and only groups that passed would perform.

“Those who pass the selection will perform tomorrow. The number of groups that will pass has not yet been determined, as it will depend on the assessment results,” Ahmad said.

The rehearsal process was supervised by Sesaria Prima Y, M.Pd., together with Rollis Ayu Ditasari, S.E., M.Ak., as well as the supervising team and committee members. The arrangements were made to ensure that participants understood the stage technicalities and the flow of their performances.

The groups that pass the selection are scheduled to perform at the peak of the inauguration event following the healthy walk on Saturday (12/9). The performances will be part of the UNIPMA PKKMB series of activities and will also provide an opportunity for freshmen to showcase the creativity of their respective groups.

For the participants, the final rehearsal was also an opportunity to anticipate technical difficulties before performing in front of the audience. Adjustments to positioning, sound, lighting, and transitions between performers were made to ensure that the performances could proceed according to plan.
