In commemoration of the Maulid of Prophet Muhammad SAW in 1446 H, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a blessed religious event titled UNIPMA Bersholawat Safari Maulid. Organized by the Student Activity Unit (UKM) UKKI At-Tarbiyah and Shoutul Murobby UNIPMA, the event was a resounding success, attracting high enthusiasm from communities across Ponorogo, Madiun, Magetan, and Ngawi.

The Safari Maulid, which spanned 81 days from September 4, 2024, to November 23, 2024, was carried out in a traveling format. Each evening, the event visited various cities and villages in these four regencies, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere through sessions of dzikir (remembrance of Allah), sholawat (praise for the Prophet), and ta'lim (religious learning).

This year’s theme, “Let Us Attain the Love and Intercession of Prophet Muhammad SAW,” was chosen to remind Muslims of the importance of emulating the Prophet’s life, practicing his teachings, and strengthening ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood) among the Muslim community.

Andhika Putra Pradhana, the Chairman of UKKI At-Tarbiyah UNIPMA, explained in an interview that the main goal of this event was to reintroduce the noble character of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a role model for Muslims.
“This event aims to deepen people’s love for the Prophet SAW, inspire them to follow his footsteps, and foster a stronger sense of brotherhood among Muslims,” he stated on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The Safari Maulid reached its peak with the presence of the main speaker, Habib Hady bin Alwi bin Hasan Alkaff from Malang, who delivered the closing sermon at Gor Cendekia UNIPMA on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Around 2,500 participants from various regions attended the grand closing, eagerly participating in all the activities.

Throughout the 81 days, the program also featured various speakers from local and out-of-town areas, delivering insightful ta'lim sessions. Recitations of Rotib al-Haddad and sholawat from the Simtudduror manuscript became integral parts of each night’s Safari Maulid activities.

“Attendees expressed feeling inspired by the event. They stated that the Safari Maulid not only strengthened their relationship with Allah SWT but also deepened their love for the Prophet SAW and his teachings,” Andhika added.

It is hoped that this event will ignite greater enthusiasm among Muslims to emulate the life of Prophet Muhammad SAW in their daily lives.

The UNIPMA Bersholawat Safari Maulid stands as a testament to the unifying spirit of love and devotion to Prophet Muhammad SAW, fostering stronger bonds within the Muslim community and perpetuating the values of goodness in everyday life.
