Around 1048 students of the Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Study Program at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) in 2023-2024 attended a national insight seminar with the theme “Strengthening the Role of Professional Teacher Candidates in Realizing Nationalism Values” at Graha Cendekia, Tuesday, 30/07/2024.

This seminar presented three main speakers who are experts in their fields. Prof. Parji, M.Pd delivered material on nationalism, discussing the importance of understanding and applying national values in the context of education. After delivering the material, Prof. Parji immediately continued with a question and answer session, where participants could discuss and ask questions related to the material that had been delivered.

The second speaker, Prof. Drs. H. Pardimin, M.Pd., Ph.D, gave a presentation on leadership, emphasizing the role of teachers as inspirational leaders in the educational environment. Just like the previous speaker, after delivering the material, Prof. Pardimin immediately opened a question and answer session which was enthusiastically followed by the participants.

Third, Major Arm Timbul Moedjihartoyo, S.Pd, presented the material on state defense, inviting prospective teachers to understand and internalize the spirit of state defense in the task of educating. After the material was finished, a question and answer session was opened, giving participants the opportunity to dig deeper into the importance of state defense in education.

Each of these Q&A sessions created a deeply interactive atmosphere, with participants actively asking questions and discussing with the presenters one by one after they delivered their respective materials.

The aim of this seminar is to form future teachers who are skilled in facing the challenges of education in the future. The seminar also showed that education is not only a means to achieve individual achievement but also an instrument in building a better and stronger society. With the provision of national insight, leadership, and the spirit of state defense, it is hoped that prospective teachers can play a significant role in realizing the values of nationalism in the educational environment and society.

This event is part of UNIPMA's efforts to prepare a generation of teachers who are not only professional in the academic field but also have a strong commitment to national values and leadership that can bring positive changes in society.
