UNIPMA Abdimas Team Holds Socialization and Training of Javanesse Content Creator at Ngawi Correctional Facility

The Community Service Lecturer Team (ABDIMAS) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) and students carry out community service activities from the Ristekdikti DRTM Grant Program Community Partnership Empowerment Scheme Funding Year 2024. This activity is entitled “Socialization of Increasing Trust from the Community to Minimize Bullying Behavior through Javanesse Content Creator for Prisoners of Class II Correctional Institution Madiun City”.

This socialization event was held at the Ngawi Regency Class II Correctional Institution, precisely in front of Ngawi Square, on Wednesday, 24/07/2024, yesterday. According to reports received by the Public Relations team, this activity was attended by 20 prisoners within the scope of Ngawi Regency.

This community service was led by Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd with three other members: Dr. Novita Erliana Sari, M.Pd, Beny Dwi Pratama, S.Psi, M.Psi, and Nizam Zakka Arrizal, S.H, M.Kn. In addition, two students, Aprilia Syafitri and Aji Nur Abdurrohman, participated in this activity. This service is in collaboration with the Madiun City Class II Correctional Center.

This activity is a form of concern for former prisoners, by providing additional skills in the field of content creators in the digital era. The UNIPMA Abdimas Team provides socialization to prisoners, which will later be followed up with regular assistance and training for three months at the Madiun City Class II Correctional Center. This training will focus on content creation using Javanese (Javanesse Content Creator) with the aim of fostering economic independence through social media.

To support content creation, the Abdimas Team provides facilities in the form of equipment such as tripods, tongsis, gimbals, and others. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on prisoners in developing new skills that are useful for their lives after the prison term ends.
