East Java BKKBN Regional Working Meeting 2024: Optimizing Demographic Bonuses and Increasing Human Resources towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 

The 2024 East Java National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Regional Working Meeting (RAKERDA) was successfully held on April 2-3 2024 at the Platinum Hotel Surabaya. This event was attended by all representatives of BKKBN employees throughout East Java as well as the East Java University Population Youth Coalition, which included representatives from Airlangga University, Surabaya University, PGRI Madiun University, Jember University, Muhamadiyah University Gresik, Bojonegoro University, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, and STKIP PGRI Pacitan.

One of the presences who stole attention was a representative from Universitas PGRI Madiun, represented by UKM Population Scholars (UKECE). UKECE, commonly referred to as the Population Scholars Unit, is one of the important UKMs from Universitas PGRI Madiun which is tasked with developing knowledge and strategies related to population. Their presence shows Unipma's commitment to supporting BKKBN's efforts in optimizing the demographic bonus and improving human resources.

With the theme "Optimizing the Demographic Bonus and Increasing Human Resources towards a Golden Indonesia 2045", this RAKERDA aims to examine strategic steps in utilizing the demographic bonus and improving Human Resources (HR) to achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.

On April 2 2024, the activity starts at 14.00-17.00 WIB with an opening and discussion divided into three groups. The first group discussed the evaluation and strategic policies of the Bangga Kencana program as well as the acceleration of stunting reduction with participants from the heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) Family Planning (KB). The second group discussed optimizing Satya Gatra at the Extension Center with participants in the Planning Quality Achievement Index (IPeKB). Meanwhile, the third group discussed optimizing the demographic bonus in East Java Province with participants from Family Cadres (KK), Grassroots Development Index (IPADI), and Population Youth Coalition (KMK) from all universities in East Java.

On the second day, April 3 2024, the event started at 09.00-13.00 WIB with the opening, awarding and signing of cooperation between representatives of the East Java Province BKKBN and work partners, including the Regional Police and Persit. The event continued with panels and discussions related to the East Java BKKBN and closed with the reading of the RAKERDA formula and the closing of the event.

RAKERDA BKKBN East Java 2024 is an important momentum in formulating strategic steps to support family development and the quality of human resources in East Java Province, in line with the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. The presence of UKECE from Universitas PGRI Madiun makes a significant contribution to efforts to achieve this goal.
