Volleyball Championship Organized by Madiun City Government with IKOR UNIPMA Study Program Completed, Mayor Handed Out Prizes 

The village level volleyball championship officially ended, Sunday (19/12) evening. On that occasion, Kelun Village won the men's category and Mojorejo Village won the women's category.

The Mayor of Maidi City handed over the prizes directly to the winners. With details, the first winner gets three goats, one quintal of rice and a trophy. The second winner gets two goats, one quintal of rice and a trophy. The third winner is one goat, one quintal of rice and a trophy.

The number one person in the City of Madiun appreciated the enthusiasm of the residents with the volleyball championship which had been vacuumed for the last two years due to the pandemic.

“This is an athlete trial. Great enthusiasm. From this condition, it is the government's obligation to provide guidance and fulfill infrastructure requirements," explained the mayor.

The mayor further said that the infrastructure that must be met includes the fulfillment of a volleyball court so that the community is healthy and also capable of producing many outstanding volleyball athletes.

"Those who win, we build, maybe the fields will be repaired. Procurement of six fields, if it becomes an annual sporting event, it would be better," he said.

Through this championship event that was held, the mayor hopes to be able to encourage the birth of outstanding athletes in Madiun City, especially in volleyball.
