UNIPMA Lecturers Provide Training for Physics Teachers at SMK and MAN Madiun City

Lecturer of Physics Education at PGRI Madiun University (UNIPMA) conducted a community service program for Physics Teachers at SMK and MAN Madiun City, Thursday (9/6/2022). This service activity is manifested in the training of "andragogycal content knowledge based on digital technology to support the success of MBKM".

The activity, which was initiated by the UNIPMA Physics Education lecturer, was held in the RM Meeting Room. Lombok Ijo Madiun City starting at 09.00 – 12.00 WIB. The target of this community service program is the physics teachers of SMK/MAN Madiun City. Among them are teachers of MAN 1 Madiun, MAN 2 Madiun, Gamaliel 1 Vocational School, Scholar Vocational School and Sugar Rajawali Vocational School.

The activity was also attended by all Physics Education lecturers and invited two CSC (Scholars Study Center) tutors. So there are a total of 12 participants in the training.

Community service program Training with the theme of andragogycal content knowledge based on digital technology aims to improve the ability of physics concepts and the use of digital literacy to support better physics learning.

This activity was opened by Dr. Tantri Mayasari, M. Pd. as MC then continued with the provision of training materials delivered by Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M. Pd. And Erawan Kurniadi, M. Pd.

Speaker 1, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M. Pd. Provide material on the Utilization of Visualization and Simulation Software in Vector and Kinematics Learning. While Speaker 2, Erawan Kurniadi, M. Pd. Provide material on Electronic Workbench (EWB) as Support for Strengthening Understanding of Electrical Circuit Materials.

Erawan explained the importance of EWB for teachers and students. "This is very important to support and make it easier for students to understand and even for the teacher," he explained.

Erawan also said that EWB is more practical in terms of cost, time, and safety than practicum in a laboratory.

The teachers/trainees seemed very enthusiastic about the material presented by the UNIPMA community service team. a physics teacher at MAN 1 Madiun who attended the training expressed his enthusiasm for the training that had been given.

"I as the head physics teacher at MAN 1 Madiun City thank you for the invitation from the UNIPMA lecturers who provided this training. We hope that there will be training for students as well, because digital literacy is very suitable for students in the current generation," said one physics teacher. MAN 1 Madiun City who participated in the training.
