Solemn and Festive Eid al-Adha 1447 AH Celebration: UNIPMA Collects 4 Cows and 7 Goats for Qurbani
Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) welcomed Eid al-Adha 1447 AH with a spirit of togetherness through the slaughtering and distribution of qurbani animals at UNIPMA Campus 1 on Wednesday (May 25). The event was attended by university leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and members of the surrounding community.
Among those present were UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, Chair of PPLP PT PGRI Madiun Dr. Nurhadji Nugraha, and the entire UNIPMA academic community.
For this year’s qurbani program, the committee successfully collected four cows and seven goats. The four cows consisted of one contributed by PPLP PT PGRI Madiun, one from UNIPMA, and two from the participation of the university leadership and lecturers. Meanwhile, the seven goats were contributed by UNIPMA lecturers and students.
The participation of university leaders, deans, heads of study programs, lecturers, and administrative staff demonstrated a shared commitment to fostering a culture of giving and strengthening social ties with the community. The Eid al-Adha celebration also served as an educational opportunity to instill moderate, inclusive Islamic values oriented toward social welfare.
For the UNIPMA community, Eid al-Adha serves as a reflection on the values of sacrifice and sincerity exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismail. This celebration is not only an expression of gratitude for the blessings received but also a manifestation of the university’s commitment to upholding religious and humanitarian values.
The spirit of togetherness, social concern, and mutual cooperation reflected in the qurbani activities is expected to continue growing into a positive culture within the campus environment. The enthusiasm shown by the committee, university leaders, lecturers, and students in making this event a success demonstrates that community service remains an integral part of academic life at UNIPMA.
