FT UNIPMA Equips Students to Face Job Interviews and the Industrial World
UNIPMA — The Faculty of Engineering (FT) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) equipped students with skills to navigate the job recruitment process through the seminar Career Readiness: Preparing for Job Interviews. The event highlighted the importance of self-readiness, communication, and professional attitudes before students enter the industrial world.
The seminar, initiated by the Faculty of Engineering Student Association (HMFT) of UNIPMA, was held at the UNIPMA Integrated Laboratory Meeting Room on Saturday (3/10). The event featured Nurlaila Anisahwati, M.Psi., Psychologist, Manager of Talent Management & People Development at PT INKA (Persero), who has more than seven years of experience in Human Capital.
The seminar focused on preparing for job interviews from the perspectives of psychology, communication, and self-readiness. Participants were provided with an understanding of aspects that need to be considered when undergoing the interview stage of the recruitment process.
The event chairperson, Adewidya Rafi Nandana, said the seminar was designed to equip students with a better understanding of workplace demands, particularly at the interview stage.
“This activity provides insights and preparation for facing job interviews, including self-readiness, communication, and attitude,” said Adewidya.
He added that readiness to enter the workforce is not solely related to academic competence. “Students also need to build self-confidence and communication skills so they can navigate the recruitment process more effectively,” he added.
Through this activity, HMFT UNIPMA hopes that students will gain a clearer picture of the job interview process while also being able to prepare themselves before entering the industrial world.
The seminar was part of an effort to provide students with practical experience and insights so they are better prepared for the transition from the university environment to the workforce.
