UNIPMA and BTPN Syariah Hold One Day Service to Bridge Graduates and Alumni with Career Opportunities in Banking

UNIPMA — Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), in collaboration with Bank BTPN Syariah, provided graduates and alumni with access to learn about and participate in the banking industry recruitment process through the One Day Service program at the UNIPMA Integrated Laboratory on Friday (25/9). The event was attended by 52 job-seeking candidates from UNIPMA students and alumni.

The event served as a meeting point between job seekers and the industry. In addition to introducing the company’s profile, BTPN Syariah also conducted a direct selection process and provided an overview of workforce requirements and job characteristics in the Islamic banking sector.

The program involved UNIPMA’s Alumni and Career Development Bureau (BAPK), led by Dr. Ratih Christiana, M.Pd., accompanied by Sulthan Misbahul Ghifaari, S.E., M.M., Dian Citaningtyas Ari Kadi, S.E., M.M., and Eka Nofri Ariyanto, M.Pd.

Representing BTPN Syariah, the event was attended by Distribution Head of Region 1 Firmansyah, Resourcing Head Utami Sulistiati, and Alfatesa Purwandani. The team was involved in introducing the company as well as conducting the recruitment process aimed at UNIPMA graduates and alumni.

Firmansyah said that the recruitment process in the event was adjusted to the company’s business needs. Currently, BTPN Syariah has approximately 1,500 Mobile Marketing Syariah personnel spread across various regions in Indonesia.

“The opportunities are not limited to the Madiun or East Java areas, but are also open to other regions for candidates who are willing to be assigned elsewhere,” Firmansyah said.

One of the positions targeted in the recruitment process was Community Officer. This position involves direct interaction with customers, including underprivileged women’s groups, through a mobile marketing approach in customers’ areas and business locations.

For graduates and alumni, the opportunity provides closer access to the process of entering the workforce. Participants not only received information about job vacancies but also gained an understanding of job demands and the competencies required by the company.

From the university’s perspective, the event was part of UNIPMA’s efforts to connect graduate readiness with industry needs. The Alumni and Career Development Bureau (BAPK) UNIPMA equips students and alumni not only with technical skills for job searching but also with abilities that support their readiness to enter the professional world.

“The preparation is not only about CVs and interviews, but also critical thinking, communication, and foreign language skills,” said Dr. Ratih Christiana, M.Pd.

According to her, the training is aimed at ensuring that graduates not only obtain academic degrees but also possess competencies that align with the needs of the workforce. The absorption of alumni into various institutions is one of the aspects considered in graduate career development.

The One Day Service program also featured a presentation on BTPN Syariah’s profile, the selection and recruitment process, and a sharing session on work experiences. The event also included a mini bazaar involving representatives of BTPN Syariah customers.

The collaboration between UNIPMA and BTPN Syariah in alumni career development is expected to continue through various other activities. The partnership is not only focused on recruitment but also on activities related to preparing students and alumni to meet industry needs.

Through the event, graduates and alumni gained a closer pathway to learn about the workforce while accessing career opportunities. For UNIPMA, direct industry involvement is part of its efforts to maintain the relevance of graduate competencies to the needs of the labor market.
