Accounting Education Study Program at UNIPMA Holds Practitioner Lecture, Featuring Speaker from Bank Mandiri
UNIPMA – Who says learning accounting is only about numbers and theory? The Accounting Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), brought in a banking practitioner through a Practitioner Guest Lecture on the Introduction to Banking Digitalization Features & Future Credit.
The event, themed “Getting to Know Digital Banking Services, Credit Products, and Today’s Financial Solutions,” was held at UNIPMA Campus 1 on Friday (18/9). The event featured Vanisa Nur Hasanah, S.Pd., from PT Bank Mandiri Tbk., KCP Magetan Kawedanan Branch, who is also a graduate of UNIPMA’s Accounting Education Study Program, as the speaker.
Through this practitioner lecture, students gained first-hand insights into developments in the banking industry, particularly the digitalization of financial services. One of the topics introduced was the use of Livin’ by Mandiri, ranging from its available features to how they can be utilized to support financial transaction needs.
In addition to digital services, students also received education on credit products and financial management for the future. The material was expected to help students understand banking services as well as the importance of managing finances in a planned manner.
The activity was accompanied by Dr. Nur Wahyuning Sulistyowati, S.E., M.Pd., a lecturer in the Accounting Education Study Program, who also initiated the event and invited the banking practitioner as the speaker.
Meanwhile, Rio Restu Prayugo, the class leader, said that the activity provided an understanding of the Mandiri banking system and the use of digital services.
“The goal is for us to better understand the Mandiri banking system and receive education about future credit. We were also introduced to how to use Livin’ by Mandiri, its features, and how to manage our finances for the future,” Rio said.
He added that the activity was attended by first-, third-, and fifth-semester students of the Accounting Education Study Program. According to him, practitioner lectures are beneficial because students gain knowledge directly from professionals in the field.
“This activity is very beneficial. Hopefully, practitioner lectures like this can continue to be held and further developed in the future,” he added.
Through this activity, the Accounting Education Study Program at UNIPMA continues to encourage students to gain knowledge relevant to industry developments, particularly the digital transformation of the financial sector.
