PKKMB UNIPMA Graduate School Transforms Master’s Students into Excellent, Creative, and Competitive Graduates

UNIPMA — Hundreds of new students participated in the New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) at the Graduate School of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Held on September 17 and 19, 2026, the program was designed to prepare students before beginning their studies, covering an understanding of the academic environment, institutional governance, and the use of digital learning systems.

The university-level and Graduate School PKKMB was held at Graha Cendekia on Thursday (17/9). The event began with a welcoming speech by UNIPMA Rector, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., who provided guidance to the new students and officially opened the PKKMB program.

During the event, students received materials on institutional structures and the academic environment as part of the adaptation process to entering master’s-level education. The materials were also delivered by the Chair of the PPLP PT PGRI Madiun Board, Dr. Nurhadji Nugraha, M.M., who provided an understanding of institutional structures as well as the values and direction of educational development within the PGRI Madiun environment.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the UNIPMA Graduate School, Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd., delivered materials on graduate education. The materials covered academic governance, the academic life of graduate students, and various aspects that students need to understand as part of their studies at the master’s level.

The Chair of the PKKMB Committee, Dr. Cerianing Putri Pratiwi, S.Pd., M.Pd., reported that 314 new students participated in the UNIPMA Graduate School PKKMB for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. They are enrolled in four study programs: 151 students in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, 144 students in Elementary School Education, 11 students in Social Studies Education, and eight students in Guidance and Counseling.

“The total number of graduate students is 314,” said Cerianing Putri Pratiwi, S.Pd., M.Pd.

After completing the university and Graduate School-level PKKMB, students continued the program at the study-program level on Saturday (19/9). This session focused on introducing the academic requirements and activities that students will encounter throughout their studies.

The heads of the study programs explained the course structure, lecturers, Academic Advisors (PA), and the mechanism for completing the Study Plan Card (KRS). This information provided students with essential technical guidance to prepare for their academic activities from the beginning of their studies.

Students were also introduced to ELMA, UNIPMA’s digital learning system. The introduction covered the use of a learning platform that supports both digital-based and blended learning activities.

The UNIPMA Graduate School PKKMB series was part of an effort to prepare students not only to become familiar with the campus environment but also to understand academic governance, academic culture, and the learning technologies they will use throughout their master’s studies.

Through this orientation and preparation, new students at the UNIPMA Graduate School are expected to adapt to the academic environment and participate optimally in the educational process, enabling them to develop into excellent, creative, and competitive graduates.
