Creative and Festive! PKKMB UNIPMA Brings the Campus to Life with a Fun Walk and Inauguration Performance

UNIPMA — A different atmosphere marked the culmination of the New Student Campus Life Introduction (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru/PKKMB) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) for the 2026/2027 academic year on Saturday (September 12). After several days of orientation and briefing sessions, new students were invited to enjoy the campus atmosphere through a fun walk, the Student Creativity Showcase (Ajang Kreativitas Mahasiswa/AKM), and an Inauguration Performance.

The fun walk started at the Integrated Laboratory Courtyard and proceeded along Jalan Letkol Suwarno, Kelapa Manis, Tanjung Manis, Setiabudi, and Jalan Slamet Riyadi before finishing at Graha Cendekia. The activity was not only attended by new students but also involved student organizations, heads of study programs, deans, and bureau heads from across UNIPMA.

Dr. Yoga Ardian Feriandi, S.Pd., M.Pd., the event coordinator, said in an interview that the involvement of various members of the university community was part of an effort to foster a sense of togetherness between new students and the academic community.

“The fun walk was not only attended by new students but also involved various members of the university community,” he said.

In addition to being an opportunity for togetherness and physical activity, the fun walk was made even more festive by a variety of prizes prepared by the committee. Attractive prizes were distributed to participants, including electric motorcycles, bicycles, tablets, printers, Smart TVs, refrigerators, and various other prizes.

The prizes were expected not only to add excitement to the event but also to provide practical benefits for students in supporting their activities and needs throughout their studies at UNIPMA.

Upon arriving at Graha Cendekia, the event continued with the AKM and Inauguration Performance. Student representatives from each faculty presented a variety of artistic performances that had previously gone through a selection process to accommodate the allocated performance slots.

Several Student Activity Units (UKM) also enlivened the event area through bazaars showcasing student entrepreneurship products while providing an opportunity for new students to become acquainted with student organizations.

The event culminated in stage entertainment that continued until noon. For the new students, the activities served as the closing event of the PKKMB series before they began their regular academic activities.

Dr. Yoga Ardian Feriandi, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his hope that all the knowledge and guidance provided throughout the PKKMB would not remain merely as theoretical material but could be applied by students in their campus life.

“We hope that the values instilled throughout the PKKMB can become internalized by the new students,” he added.

He also hoped that the students would enjoy the PKKMB series as part of their first experience of getting to know life at UNIPMA.

“On this Saturday, we hope they can truly have fun before entering their academic journey,” concluded Dr. Yoga Ardian Feriandi, S.Pd., M.Pd.

With the fun walk, student creativity showcases, student organization bazaars, and the Inauguration Performance, the UNIPMA PKKMB series concluded in a more relaxed and festive atmosphere after the new students had spent several days participating in academic and student-life orientation sessions.
