UNIPMA – Hundreds of students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA), officially completed their graduation ceremony at Graha Cendekia UNIPMA on Thursday (27/8).

The ceremony was attended by students from 13 study programs within FKIP, including Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI), Guidance and Counseling (BK), Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PG PAUD), Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn), History Education, Accounting Education, Economics Education, English Education (PBI), Biology Education, Electrical Engineering Education (PTE), and Physics Education.

The event was attended by UNIPMA Rector Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., Dean of FKIP Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., and the faculty leadership team.

In his remarks, Dr. Muh. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd., reminded graduates not to stop learning after earning their bachelor’s degrees.

“Be grateful and be proud of your parents and lecturers. Even though you have graduated, all of your lecturers are still like your parents,” he said.

He also encouraged graduates to be confident in creating and contributing wherever they go. According to him, new environments after graduation can become opportunities for alumni to apply the knowledge and experiences they gained during their studies.

Meanwhile, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, M.Pd., encouraged graduates to use the knowledge gained during their university years to create meaningful contributions to society.

“Use your knowledge to create and make an impact. From this point forward, you must be able to become independent through the knowledge you have gained,” he said.

The graduation ceremony also included the presentation of Certificates of Graduation (SKL) to participants. The document serves as official proof of graduation before students attend the commencement ceremony, enter the workforce, or pursue further education.

One of the graduates from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) program, Mochammad Baqi Wahyu Saputra, said the ceremony represented an appreciation of the educational journey he had completed.

According to Baqi, his university experience extended beyond academic activities. His involvement in various organizations at the university, faculty, and study-program levels also helped prepare him for the professional environment.

“During university, I did not only focus on my studies but also participated in various organizations. That experience made me more prepared to face the real world of work,” he said.

After earning his bachelor’s degree, Baqi hopes his education will serve as a foundation for pursuing further studies or beginning a new stage in his professional life.

“Hopefully, earning this bachelor’s degree will become a foundation or stepping stone for further education and for creating our own stories,” he said.

FKIP UNIPMA will also maintain communication with graduates through the Alumni Family Association (IKA). The organization serves as a platform for maintaining connections between the faculty and its alumni after they complete their education.
