Expanding International Cooperation, FT UNIPMA Signs MoU with INTI International University Malaysia
UNIPMA – The Faculty of Engineering (FT) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) expanded its international network through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University Malaysia. The signing of the cooperation agreement took place as part of the Intensive Workshop and Assistance Program for Writing Scientific Articles in Reputable International Journals held at the Faculty of Engineering Hall, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), on July 20–21, 2026.
The Dean of FT UNIPMA, Nasrul Rofiah Hidayati, S.T., M.Pd., attended the activity as the faculty’s delegate. In addition to the MoU signing, the activity also featured scientific article writing assistance sessions delivered by Prof. Dr. Deshinta A.D. from INTI International University Malaysia and Dr. Tri Basuki K. from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Through this cooperation, FT UNIPMA and INTI International University Malaysia agreed to open opportunities for collaboration in various fields. The scope of cooperation includes student mobility programs, visiting scholar programs for lecturers and researchers, joint scientific publications, collaborative research, academic material exchanges, as well as the organization of seminars, training programs, conferences, and other academic activities.
Nasrul Rofiah Hidayati, S.T., M.Pd., stated that the cooperation serves as an initial step to expand the faculty’s involvement in international academic networks through the implementation of the three pillars of higher education. “The main objective of this cooperation is to increase FT UNIPMA’s international exposure through the implementation of the three pillars of higher education,” she said.
According to Nasrul Rofiah Hidayati, S.T., M.Pd., the MoU signing is not merely a written agreement. She hopes that the collaboration can soon be realized through various programs that provide benefits for both lecturers and students.
“We hope that the cooperation with INTI International University Malaysia can be immediately realized in the fields of education, research, and community service,” she said.
In addition to strengthening partnership networks, workshop participants also received assistance on scientific article writing techniques, strategies for facing the international journal review process, ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific publications, and manuscript improvement before submission to reputable journals.
Nasrul Rofiah Hidayati, S.T., M.Pd., considered the activity an opportunity for lecturers to improve the quality of scientific publications while opening opportunities for research collaboration with universities at the international level.
“We hope this cooperation can produce impactful programs for the academic development of FT UNIPMA while expanding international collaboration in the future,” she stated.
