UNIPMA – Hundreds of students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) attended the 2026 School Field Introduction Program (PLP II) Orientation at Graha Cendekia on Thursday (July 23). The orientation served as a preparation stage before students are assigned to partner schools for their teaching practicum, which will take place from August 3 to October 16, 2026.

The PLP II orientation was part of a series of preparatory activities that began with a coordination meeting involving field supervisors (DPL) and partner schools on Wednesday (July 22). This session was conducted to establish a shared understanding of the program's implementation, supervision, and assessment procedures throughout the students' field experience.

The orientation was officially opened by UNIPMA Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd., M.Si. Also in attendance were Dean of FKIP UNIPMA Dr. Waskito Ardi, S.Pd., M.Pd., Chair of the PLP II Orientation Committee Dr. Tantri Mayasari, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Head of the Internship and Field Practice Bureau (BMPL), Dr. Dahlia Novarianing Asri, M.Si.

During the first presentation session, students received training on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum based on Deep Learning, delivered by Agus Sucipto, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Madiun Regency Education Office. The session discussed learning approaches that align with current educational developments and the needs of students.

The following session featured Sri Pudjiwati, M.Pd., a teacher at SD Negeri 05 Madiun Lor, who presented material on lesson planning, learning media, and assessment instruments within the Deep Learning-based Merdeka Curriculum. The session provided students with practical guidance on preparing the instructional materials they will use during their teaching practicum.

Next, Dr. Erlik Widiyani Styati, M.Pd. explained the implementation procedures of PLP II. Students were introduced to every stage of the program, from their placement at partner schools and the execution of teaching practice to the preparation of their final reports.

In addition to academic preparation, the orientation also emphasized students' professional attitudes and ethics while serving in school environments. Dr. Asroful Kadafi, M.Pd. delivered a session on the ethics and regulations of PLP II, equipping students with the professional conduct expected of future educators.

The program continued with a session on ethics and the prevention of the three major educational misconducts, presented by Bambang Eko Nugroho, S.H., M.H., from the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT). The session highlighted the importance of preventing violence, bullying, intolerance, and ethical violations within educational institutions.

Following the orientation, students will be officially assigned to partner schools between July 29 and August 3, 2026. They will then undertake the PLP II teaching practicum for approximately two and a half months before completing the withdrawal process and submitting their final reports at the end of October 2026.
