Visiting Lecture at UNIPMAs Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Explores Global Education Perspectives and Scientific Article Writing 

UNIPMA – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) held a Visiting Lecture featuring an academic from IIAS Leiden University, the Netherlands, and a representative from the Indonesian Journal Volunteers (Relawan Jurnal Indonesia/RJI) Central Board on Wednesday (July 1).

The event, held at the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Building at UNIPMA, was combined with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), and Implementation Agreement (IA) with several study programs within FKIP UNIPMA.

The event featured two keynote speakers: Dr. Aireen Grace Andal from the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS), Leiden University, the Netherlands, and Dr. Syarif Fajarudin, M.Pd., a representative of the RJI Central Board and a lecturer at Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta.

During the guest lecture session, Dr. Aireen Grace Andal delivered a presentation titled "Education Perspectives in the Global North and Southeast Asia." The presentation explored various educational perspectives in the Global North and Southeast Asia, including differences in educational approaches, current challenges, and opportunities for academic collaboration across countries. Participants were also encouraged to recognize the importance of strengthening international networks in advancing education and research.

Meanwhile, Dr. Syarif Fajarudin, M.Pd., presented a session on scientific article writing. He explained the stages of preparing a scholarly article, from selecting a research topic and organizing the manuscript according to academic standards to choosing the appropriate journal, navigating the submission process, and addressing common challenges encountered during publication.

In his remarks, the Dean of FKIP UNIPMA stated that the Visiting Lecture is part of the faculty's ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality while expanding international collaboration networks.

"We hope this activity broadens participants' insights into study program management, the development of scientific publications, and strengthens our academic culture," said Dr. Waskito Ardhi, S.Pd., M.Pd.

The event was attended by heads of study programs and lecturers from all study programs within FKIP UNIPMA. Participants showed strong enthusiasm throughout the presentations as well as during the interactive discussion and question-and-answer sessions.

Through this event, FKIP UNIPMA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting academic internationalization, broadening the global perspectives of its academic community, and enhancing lecturers' competencies in education and scientific publication.
