UNIPMA and Intact Taiwan Hold Free Mandarin Course to Prepare Students for Scholarships in Taiwan
UNIPMA – The collaboration between Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) and Intact Taiwan successfully organized a free Mandarin Course program for UNIPMA students and alumni. The program took place at the UNIPMA Language Development Center (P2B) from June to August 2026.
A total of 34 participants, consisting of students and alumni, joined the Mandarin language learning program. The activity was conducted in 24 meetings of 1.5 x 24 hours with Dodi Hendarto from Intact Base Surabaya as the instructor. The learning sessions were held face-to-face in the UNIPMA Language Laboratory.
This course program aims to prepare participants for opportunities to obtain scholarships for further education in Taiwan, both for post-bachelor and master’s (S2) programs. During the training, participants received basic Mandarin materials focused on communication skills and academic needs.
One of the participants, Rachel Defrans Saputri from the Law Study Program, admitted that she gained an easy-to-understand learning experience from the very first meeting.
“After attending the first meeting, my impression was quite positive. The lecturer’s explanation was easy to understand, especially for participants who are still unfamiliar with Mandarin,” she said on Saturday (6/6).
She added that she was interested in joining the class as part of her plan to continue her studies through an overseas scholarship program.
The collaboration between UNIPMA and Intact Taiwan is expected to open wider access for students and alumni to continue their education abroad through scholarship pathways, especially in Taiwan.
