Together with Erlangga Publisher, the UNIPMA Library Holds a Book Exhibition
In collaboration with Erlangga Publisher, the Library of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) organized a book exhibition titled “Discover Various Quality Books to Support Learning, Inspire Creativity, and Build the Nation’s Future” as part of the UNIPMA Anniversary celebration. The event took place over five days, from May 19 to May 23, 2026.
The book exhibition was held at several different locations. From May 19–22, 2026, the event was conducted at the Courtyard of UNIPMA Campus 1. Then, on May 23, 2026, it continued at the UNIPMA Integrated Laboratory.
This activity was organized by the UNIPMA Library as part of its services to the academic community as well as a library promotion event. The book exhibition has become a regular agenda that continues to be developed to increase reading interest among students and lecturers.
The Deputy Head of the UNIPMA Library, Tika Ayuningtyas, S.IIP., stated that the book exhibition is not only a place for buying and selling books, but also part of the library’s promotion and branding strategy.
“The book exhibition is one of our regular agendas. It is not merely a book-selling event, but also one of the promotional and branding strategies for the library,” she said on Wednesday (20/5).
She explained that the series of activities was designed with different concepts at each location to suit the target visitors. Students and lecturers were the main targets of the event.
“We created different venues and scheduled the event over five days so that it would not feel monotonous and could attract different visitor segments each day,” she said.
In addition to presenting various academic and general books, this activity also aimed to improve literacy and reading interest within the campus environment. The book exhibition is expected to become an educational platform, broaden access to quality books at affordable prices, and build networks and collaborations between the library and various parties.
Previously, the UNIPMA Library also participated in the EXPRESS Program, which serves as a networking platform for library professionals in the ASEAN region and internationally. The program was carried out through the Singapore Library Tour activity at the SMU Li Ka Shing Library.
Through this book exhibition, the UNIPMA Library hopes that the culture of literacy within the campus environment will continue to grow. In addition, the activity also serves as a means to identify the needs, feedback, and book trends favored by the UNIPMA academic community.
