The excitement of the 51st Anniversary (Dies Natalis) series of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) continues. After successfully holding sports competitions last week, today the committee organized an inter-unit Vocal Group Competition held at the Integrated Laboratory area of the campus on Thursday (21/5).

This art competition was participated in by representatives of lecturers and education staff (tendik) who were divided into eight combined teams from various faculties and bureaus at UNIPMA. The event was held to strengthen relationships and serve as a platform for artistic expression amid the academic community’s busy schedules.

In the competition, each team performed one freely chosen song with a maximum performance duration of five minutes. To maintain objectivity and quality, the committee appointed two qualified judges to assess three main aspects: vocal quality, musicality, and stage performance.

Based on the competition format released by the committee, the participating teams competed for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and a Favorite Winner category. All decisions made by the jury are final and cannot be contested.

This Vocal Group Competition is one of the major vocal arts events for lecturers and staff before the celebration continues with the Student Creative TikTok Video Competition on May 22. All winners from the series of competitions will be officially announced at the grand celebration event, the Peak Night of UNIPMA’s 51st Anniversary, scheduled to take place on June 6, 2026.
