Universitas PGRI Madiun Holds Socialization on the New Lecturer Academic Rank Assistant System with Professor Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmadi Susilo
Universitas PGRI Madiun held a socialization session on the New Lecturer Academic Rank Assistant System (JAD) at Graha Cendekia on Tuesday (May 12). The event featured Professor and senior academic from Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmadi Susilo, as the main speaker.
The event was attended by the Rector of UNIPMA, Dr. Supri Wahyudi Utomo, along with university leaders and lecturers within the institution. This socialization was a responsive step by the university in following up on the letter from the Director of Human Resources Number 1116/DST/B4/DT.04.01/2026 regarding adjustments to the assessment timeline for proposals for promotion to the academic ranks of Associate Professor (Lektor Kepala) and Professor for Wave I of 2026.
The timeline adjustment aims to improve the effectiveness, transparency, and accountability of the assessment process through the SISTER system. Based on the latest policy, there are differences in provisions between lecturers who are not approaching the retirement age limit (non-BUP) and lecturers entering the retirement age period from July 1, 2026, to January 1, 2027. For the BUP category, the schedule still refers to the previous provisions dated April 21, 2026.
The following are the updated timelines for non-BUP lecturer JAD promotion proposals in 2026:
- Proposal Withdrawal: Until May 30, 2026
- Proposal Assessment: June 3 – June 30, 2026
- Submission of Revised Proposals: July 3 – July 10, 2026
- Validation and Approval of Revisions: July 5 – July 12, 2026
- Assessment of Revised Proposals: July 13 – August 2, 2026
In addition to the schedule, the new regulation requires applicants to attach more detailed scientific work similarity test documents. The documents must include excluded sources and explanations of the testing protocol implementation to maintain academic integrity.
This moment also marks an achievement for UNIPMA. To date, 12 out of 30 study programs have received “Excellent” accreditation status. In 2026, three study programs—Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Education, Bachelor’s Degree in English Education, and the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG)—officially achieved the highest accreditation category.
This socialization and human resource strengthening initiative aligns with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda and supports the “Impactful Campus” vision initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. Through the structured transformation of the JAD system, UNIPMA is committed to producing innovations and empowering human resources that create real impacts for the wider community.
